Dear Families,
As the 2021-2022 school year nears, we are looking forward to welcoming our students back to a safe and healthy academic environment. Our Archdiocese continues to monitor the recommendations set forth by health organizations and medical professionals to prepare for the upcoming school year.
Attached you will find a letter from Archbishop Rodi, outlining protocols that Catholic Schools will have in place in order to continue to offer a healthy learning environment for our students. As you read the letter, notice that a definitive decision has not yet been made about particular protocols for our K-6th grade students (up to 12 years old.) Please know when more information is provided it will be shared with you.
In addition to what is outlined in the letter, all Catholic schools will continue to implement the following protocols in order to maintain a safe environment for our students:
We will continue to reinforce best handwashing hygiene practices.
Cleaning and disinfecting of our school will continue to occur on a daily basis.
If there is a positive case in our school, please know the area will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected as in the past.
Of course, we will continue to ask that parents keep their children at home if they are sick, and we will ask that you continue to notify school officials if your child is isolating as a result of a diagnosed case of COVID or is at home quarantining due to close contact with a diagnosed case.
We are all looking forward to a safe and healthy school year, and I want to thank you for trusting us with your children. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you,
Kristy F. Martin
